My parents moved this afternoon. They loaded up the truck and headed to Missouri. My dad was offered a tenured professorship at the University of Missouri-Rolla. It has been a lifelong dream of his to teach at a university. They are letting us stay in their house for as long as we're here and they're there.
The house is very quiet tonight, too quiet.
We'll miss you. Good thing we're only 3 hours away.

Happy Anniversary
My mom and I were riding in the car together yesterday and she said,
"Tomorrow is a special day. Can you think of why?"
I racked my brain, offering up a few lame guesses...like,
"It's the day Biggest Loser is on?"
"Taber gets to wear his paramedic uniform for the first time?"
I honestly couldn't think of any reason why today could be special. It wasn't a national holiday. Or a birthday. My mom finally had pity on me and answered her own riddle.
Last January 19th, our family pulled into the driveway here in the outskirts of Owasso to start the Oklahoma phase of our life. It's been exactly a year.
Happy Anniversary.
Where has the time gone?
